What is the main differences between chocolate and compound?

Basicly;

Chocolate contains only cocoa butter and may be some milk butter. Compound contains vegetable oils like palm oil. Of course compound can be contains cocoa butter too but this does not make it chocolate. And chocolate must not contain any vegetable oil except cocoa butter.

There is need for clarification for this Chocolate and Compound coating difference in the original article. Real Chocolate contains cocoa mass and cocoa butter as the main fat.Milk fat is often present in milk and white chocolate. Meanwhile compound coating are based mostly on hard vegetable fat (not oil) either non lauric (palm fat fraction) or lauric fat (Hardened palm kernel oil (HPKO).The main cocoa material in compounds are cocoa powder (often 10/12%fat content).
