I would like to ask if anyone of you knows a reference method for P2O5 determination. Our lab uses Alkalimetric Titration (based on the procedure) in determining the P2O5 content of our manufactured raw materials, however there are no reference method mentioned in our work instruction. Hopefully someone can help. Thank you.
P2O5 analysis is more common in fertilizer analysis than in food. You should refer to their methofs for comparison…
The AOAC had their own official methods in determining phosphates, you should search that In your food science library…
The web also had scattered references about P2O5 analysis also, you should search that out.
The AACC had their own method as well you should search that out in your library.
