If there are no information about confirmatory test of acid washed ginger , but you know the acid used in the acid treatment which is H2SO4 ; then comparative analysis of the sulfate content between the unwashed ginger and the washed one will give you positive values of confirmation..FYI washed gingee had a shiny surface to the unwashed one..

hi @zubi_ias , ok..noted..may be because it is sulphuric acid - a mineral acid, can be washed off, and less impact considered to other agents like pesticides etc...
Now a days people are more careful and we have the tendency to soak veggies, hardy fruits in water for sometime before it is consumed. Even veggies washes, or cider vinegars , salt are also used to soak these items before consumption at home.

Is this acid wash causing some issues while it is being used industrially for food processes. thanks

Its a way of making those ginger rejects look acceptable as the surface become smoother and blemishes can be masked.Incidentally the acid is absorbed in the ginger which can be a food hazard knowing the irritant and (possibly toxic effect to the digestive system.)in consuming such acid treated ginger.Thats actually a form of " adulteration "....
