Less Known Sweetness Enhancer - MAG

Has anyone worked with Mono Ammonium Glycyrrhizinate? It is a sweetness and flavour enhancer, I recently came across this. But, is it currently used by anyone ? If so, can it be used in beverages?

Monoammoinium Glycyrrhizinate is a ammonium salt of Glycyrrhizinic acid derived from licorice root which are mostly used for medicinal purposes never as sweeteners as it has a distinct off taste which can be offensive in food and beverage applications .Think about licorice candy ,do you like its taste, that is what you will get with using MAG…Stevia is more practical to use as sweetener as it does not have many side effects…

As Roy has suggested, Plain licorice may not have a great taste .
we blend Licorice with Stevia in Lowkal.
