I would like to ask a question all of you.
We produce Turkish delight and candy products. We want to apply hibiscus extract as a colorant. We researched but we did not find any info about hibiscus on legislations rules in EU or Turkish Food Codex. Is it posibble for using in products(hard cadies, delights and jellies)? Do you send me link for information?

postedBeware, there is a hibiscus extract on the market that is adulterated with synthetic colourings (Monascus, Reactive Red and so on). I have several such samples in my office. If you need any information, please feel free to write to me. I can also offer to test the dye for adulteration.
