The plants we will miss in the future

Hi,
What you will say is the most important food ingredient that we are wasting too many resources from nature to receive it? for example, carnosic acid (preservative) : we grow rosemary and take only 0.2% of the plants for the extraction of carnosic, all the waste is useless.
do you have other ideas?

Rosemary was not raised for its preservatives effects but as an herb useful in cooking…
