Are seeds of apricots toxic?

I heard that British food safety agency ..declaierd it toxic to eat seeds of apricots. however we are eating since childhood 😄

    I have not read about this but i do not think so. Apricot seeds are eaten safely in Turkey.

    They are toxic when you eat too much amount of them because of the amygdaline content of them. I know this from my Toxicology class.

    In the same vein cassava root in the tropics also contain cyanoglycosides which are inactivated by cooking .

    yes dried, powdered or whole. It tastes like as almond but a little bitter. Also they are coated with chocolate, sugar or chocolate + sugar and made dragees as almond dragees. A c…

    Apricot kernels are often added in cheaper marzipan paste to extend the more expensive almonds.
