Vibrio parahaemolyticus is the leading bacterial cause of gastroenteritis associated with aquatic food consumption globally. This study aimed to determine the prevalence of V. parahaemolyticus in aquatic foods from Huzhou and to identify the serotypes, antimi- crobial resistance, virulence factors, and genetic relatedness of the strains.
